It is a live-bait only, catch and release, no-weigh, no-kill, traditional drift-fishing tarpon tournament that represents what Boca Grande's fishing culture was build on. The 2018 Tarpon Festival will be held on Friday and Saturday, May 18-19 in beautiful downtown Boca Grande. The weekend event centers around the 36th Annual World's Richest Tarpon Tournament and a World Class Art Festival which will be held on Friday from 10 am to 5 pm and Saturday, 10 am – 4 pm.
